Anaplan/BOBJ Analyst Irving, TX
We are looking for a Financial Analyst in the Dallas area who can bring an expertise with tools such as Anaplan and BOBJ to bear in serving as a key member within the corporate and field finance teams. As a key member of the Finance team, the Analyst will have a high-level of exposure to senior executives and frequently interact with others cross-functionally within the organization. Use you Anaplan skills and experience to assist in development and Administration around an Anaplan implementation. You will also be involved in preparing and analyzing financial performance on weekly and monthly basis to identify key trends and variances; develop and maintain financial and operational dashboards and key performance metrics; prepares annual operating plan (budget) and assists with monthly financial forecasting process, helping to improve the accuracy of budgets/forecasts; collaborate on monthly reporting package to executive management by analyzing performance versus key benchmarks and progress towards company goals / initiatives; Perform revenue and expense analysis related to product lines, customer types and location; and, work with management team to develop short and long-term plans to improve performance of the business. Will also create ad-hoc analysis to assist in special projects and assist with the monthly financial closing process as needed.
This position requires a high level of technical skills. Must be comfortable learning new systems and working with reporting / BI tools. 2-3 years’ experience in financial forecasting, variance analysis, and information systems preferred. Experience with advanced data analytic tools and processes such as BOBJ, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, ETL, or other relevant mining / analytic / visualization tools needed. Experience working with Anaplan, particularly in a Development/Administrative role a big plus. Ability to manipulate and analyze very large data sets and present findings in coherent and effective manner a must. Exposure to predictive analytics, time series forecasting, and statistical analysis essential. Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills (expert ability with pivot tables and advanced formulas is required; macros, Visual Basic and more is a plus); Four year degree in business or other quantitative related field, including but not limited to, Economics, Math, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics and Engineering needed. You must be highly motivated, pro-active with a bias towards action, able to make sound decisions, flexible, have a desire to make an impact, able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization while maintaining a positive and team focused approach.Good communication and interpersonal skills required. Must have the ability to build relationships across the organization, influence others and present to individuals or groups. Must be Intellectually curious with a desire to learn, think independently and take action. Must be comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint to communicate and present findings.
