In this exciting role, you will plan, coordinate, prioritize, and execute the activities necessary to maintain network schematic data, schematics, and maps. Understand and follow a Change Management Process to support safety-critical systems and initiatives. Edit, analyze, and perform QA/QC tasks utilizing Bentley MicroStation software, GIS software, and in-house tools. Communicate with stakeholders, recording detailed change notes. Understand and analyze infrastructure data in multiple formats. Become familiar and comply with company policies, FRA Standards and government regulations.
Position requires a college degree desired or a minimum of 5 years (open to less depending on the candidate) Bentley MicroStation experience in data editing with change management at the core of every function. Must also have working knowledge of ESRI GIS Products. Must demonstrate above-average organizational skills and a desire to drive for results. Must be self-directed, motivated and have good interpersonal and communication skills. May be required to work irregular and flexible work schedule. Must be willing to learn safe operations and practices. Must have ability to communicate well, one-on-one and in groups. Must be safety conscious and able to support and contribute to a strong safety process. Prefer experience with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with schematic views of complex systems. Technical writing experience. Previous transportation or utility experience working within a GIS group is preferred.
