Exciting opportunity for one of our innovative clients as a Senior Instructional Designer. You will develop and design a program manager training and curriculum beginning with the concept of new hires. The program will help new hires comprehend the client’s processes, management of service providers, evaluator rules, and provide industry knowledge. Additionally, the program will give both new hires and existing Program Managers a uniform path through various stages in program management. Responsibilities of the project include: design and create training for Program Managers that develops skills and knowledge from the Associate level through the Senior Program Manager level; work through the master list of knowledge assets to develop the appropriate training; develop Micro-learning format for stand-alone topics; work with other instructional designers to ensure consistency and flow of training from one module to another; utilize development tools authorized by the client to ensure that training modules may be modified in the future; provide training design and development from the business requirements phase through the delivery of the final product; take direction and report to the Project Functional Manager. The type of training being developed may vary from general to specific technical concepts.
Position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience using an instructional design methodology. Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design is essential. Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are a must. Experience with Articulate Storyline 360, and SnagIt or some other graphic capture/edit tool, like Paint is required. Adobe Illustrator experience is needed. Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and proven ability to work independently and in teams is needed. Must have excellent verbal communication skills, including active listening skills, and excellent written communication skills, to include superior editing skills and the ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. Adaptability to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment of limited resources and ever-changing needs and missions needed. Proficiency in e-Learning authoring tool, Learning Management system, and other tools used in the creation and maintenance of training resources is required. Completion of advanced training in instructional design and/or e-learning is strongly preferred; Training/Certification in an instructional design methodology is preferred.
